Kawasaki Mahi Racing Team India riders Kenan Sofuoglu and Fabien Foret were once more in the leading mix, with Kenan second and Fabien third at the Assen round. Fabien extended his championship lead.
Kenan Sofuoglu won a reduced distance 15-lap Supersport World Championship race in Australia and in doing so set a new lap record and extended his total of WSS race wins to a new all-time best of 22.
Kenan Sofuoglu (Kawasaki Lorenzini) secured the title in the FIM Supersport World Championshiptoday at Portimao with a controlled second place, only 0.645 seconds from another race win.
Kenan Sofuoglu turned a fourth place grid position into his fourth race win of the year on his Kawasaki Lorenzini Ninja ZX-6R and he was joined on the podium by Kawasaki Intermoto Step's Fabien Foret.
Kenan Sofuoglu (Kawasaki Lorenzini) left Silverstone with his championship lead trimmed a little after finishing in a battling fifth place, with two other top Kawasaki riders just behind him.

Kenan Sofuoglu and Sheridan Morais will line up as team-mates in the official 2012 Kawasaki DeltaFin WSS team, managed by Vanni Lorenzini, and each rider has already started preparations in earnest.
