EMPIRE KAWASAKI LOOKING TO END 2023 PROMX CHAMPIONSHIP ON A HIGH IN COOLUM

Empire Kawasaki is determined to end the 2023 Australian ProMX Championship on a high in Coolum, as Haruki Yokoyama, Cambell Williams and Taylah McCutcheon prepare for battle at round eight in their respective classes.

MX2 racer Yokoyama will be looking to land fast starts this weekend to provide the platform for two solid motos in a bid to improve on his outing last time out at Queensland Moto Park. A front-running ride will be the perfect way to complete his campaign.

In MX3, KX250-mounted Williams has the opportunity to secure a P4 championship position in the highly-competitive field, as he has been working hard to iron out what’s needed ahead of Coolum.

Taylah McCutcheon showed plenty of promise in her racing return from injury last weekend, and she enters the final round in Queensland motivated to put all of the pieces together and land a strong result. It's one last opportunity in 2023 to showcase her capabilities at the national level.

“It’s been an up-and-down year of 2023 ProMX, but we enter the last round motivated to complete the season in the best possible way,” said Empire Kawasaki team owner Tyson Cherry.

“We know Haruki has no shortage of determination and some fast starts should bode well as he aims to push closer to the front. Cambell is working hard to iron out some things that limited him at the last round, and we all know he is capable of fighting for race wins in the category.

“It was great to see Taylah back out on track at QMP and we are excited to give her our full support as she looks to land on the podium this weekend. We're excited to end the year on a high together across all three classes.”

The eighth round of the 2023 Australian ProMX Championship takes place at Coolum, this weekend 19-20 August, with bikes on track from 8:30am on Saturday and 8:00am on Sunday local time.
