2012 Ultra 300LX

The Fastest Jet Ski on the Planet Just Got Faster

As an innovator of the personal watercraft since the first Jet Ski, Kawasaki has a long history of high performance on the water. Kawasaki's newest flagship, the Jet Ski Ultra 300LX, pushes the performance envelope even further.

With phenomenal boost from an Eaton Twin Vortices Supercharger, the big Kawasaki Ninja-inspired marine engine pumps out 300 horsepower* for incredible hook-up and acceleration.

Featuring the same performance-enhancing modifications as the Ultra 300X, the Ultra 300LX adds a plush luxury seat with separate spaces for each passenger that provides a more secure, planted feel. Plus a special paint scheme that further distinguishes it as Kawasaki's premiere Jet Ski watercraft model.

Large Capacity Storage

The huge 200 litre front storage compartment comes with removable tray. There's also a centre console storage area with a detachable drink holder with space for two water bottles. (Ultra 300LX not available in Lime).

Adjustable Handlebars

The handlebars are 5-way adjustable and suit a wide range of riders and riding styles and allows comfortable stand-up or seated riding positions. The redesigned left side reverse control is even easier to use. (Ultra 300LX not available in Lime)

Electronic Trim Control System

Electronic Trim Control System allows the rider to control the angle of the jet pump nozzle to suit water surface conditions and riding style.

Race Bred Hull Design

Designed using feedback from Kawasaki's IJSBA Championship winning machines, the hull features two separate flush ports for the engine and intercooler and offers the industry's best stability responsive handling in calm and rough water. Deep 22.5 degree V-angle at the bottom of the hull provides better "grip" for racing like performance.

Supercharged

The Ultra 300LX’s liquid-cooled 1,498 cm3, In-line 4-cylinder engine received new pistons, cam shaft and conrods for 2011. The TVS Eaton supercharger uses twin four-lobe rotors to produce a continuos delivery of air, giving the Ultra 300LX an output of 300 PS reclaiming the title as the most powerful production PWC in the world.

Intercooler

Pressurising the intake air heats it to extremely high temperatures which would rob power, but the liquid-cooled intercooler reduces intake air to ambient temperature, or even less, for higher combustion efficiency and more power.

Plush Luxury Seat

The Ultra 300LX adds a plush luxury seat with separate spaces for each passenger that provides a more secure, planted feel. The two-tone design compliments the metallic deck paint.

Jet Pump

To effectively convert the 300 PS output into thrust, the Ultra 300LX utilises a large 160mm jet pump, designed using eight guide vanes. The pump delivers superior “traction” in rough water conditions and significantly contributes to the Ultra 300LX’s mind-boggling acceleration.

GPS Mountable Handlebar Pad

The Ultra 300LX features a GPS mountable handlebar pad that is able to accomodate Garmin 72/76 series GPS devises (including 76C and 76CSx) (A separate mounting bracket is required).

Extended Cruising Range

Offering more fuel capacity than any machine in its class, the Ultra 300LX’s 78-litre fuel tank holds 14 litres more than the JET SKI STX-15F, making long distance cruising even more accessible and inviting.

Kawasaki Smart Steering

Designed to assist inexperienced riders, the Kawasaki Smart Steering system is electronically linked to an on-board microprocessor and automatically adjusts engine speed and thrust while cornering to ensure a smooth, controlled turn.

Efficient Impeller

To suit the new 160 mm jet pump for 2011, the Ultra 300LX also received a new impeller redesigned to efficiently convert all the extra power into forward thrust.

Beginner Friendly

The Ultra 300LX features Kawasaki’s innovative electronic Smart Learning Operation (SLO) system which can be programmed to speed-limit the engine to assist novice riders in mastering their riding technique without worrying about excessive speeds.

Easy-to-Read Instrument Panel

The LCD screen is easy to read and also displays water and air temperature in addition to the speedometer, tachometer, hour meter, clock, trip distance, trip time and fuel level. It is also positioned high on the hull with a visor for improved visibility.

Multiple Riding Modes

The ECU controlled ETV allows multiple riding mode options to be activated with the touch of a button. 8 kph mode conveniently regulates rpm to maintain constant speed in no-wake zones and cruise control fixes speed at a specified level for convenient long distance touring.

Electronic Throttle Valve

The Electronic Throttle Valve operated by the thumb throttle on the handlebar makes throttle action very light for reduced rider fatigue and the more precise throttle control results in better performance, smoother running and increased fuel economy.
