Serious Suspension

16-way adjustable 43mm upside down cartridge forks combined with the Uni-Trak® mono-shock rear suspension provide superb road-holding and outstanding shock-absorption for excellent off-road performance.

Relaxed Seating Position

The new handlebar is straighter and moves the hand position up and in. This relaxed position makes the bike easier to ride and control. The footpegs are positioned close to the bike’s centreline for a slim riding position conducive to both on and off road riding.

Redesigned Swingarm

The new lightweight, highly rigid aluminium D-section swingarm contributes to reduced unsprung weight. New KX racing type chain adjusters allow precise adjustment of chain slack, helping to minimise drivetrain power transfer loss.

All-Digital Instrumentation

All digital instrument console gives at a glance information featuring a digital bar graph tachometer, digital speedometer, clock, and dual trip meters.

Petal Disc Brakes

Front and rear petal disc brakes offer impressive stopping performance. A twin piston calliper grips a 250 mm disc up front. At the rear, a single piston calliper operates a large 240 mm disc.

Smooth Power

The compact 249cc, liquid-cooled, four-stroke, single-cylinder engine features a four-valve, dual overhead cam head atop an electrofusion coated aluminium cylinder producing impressive power and torque delivering smooth, tractable acceleration.

Precision Handling

The KLX250S’s box and tubular section high tensile steel perimeter frame creates a slim, lightweight package. The 27.5° caster angle and short wheelbase contribute to quick handling, while the high rigidity of the frame ensures straight line stability.

Easy Electric Starting

Enjoy easy, trouble-free starting thanks to a reliable, electric starter facilitated by Kawasaki Automatic Compression Release (KACR), which automatically opens an exhaust valve to lower compression and enable easy cranking.
