 After a 14 month battle with cancer, Stacy Keyte aged 42, passed away on Monday 16 Feb.  Jeff and Stacy had been married for over 20 years and had a 9 year old son together named Josh.

WSBK 2015 round 1 pit lane  

Jeff had planned to take his son to Phillip Island on Saturday 21st of Feb, for his first ever visit to a World Superbike race. The outing was aimed at assisting with the emotional recovery and when Jeff’s long-time friend Doug Clark was placed into contact with the team at Kawasaki Motors Australia, Josh’s dream of meeting his racing idle became a reality.

Josh was treated to a pit tour where he was picked from the crowd to sit a motorcycle from the Cat Bike Exit team.

Tom Sykes race replica cap

Nearing the end of the day, Josh and his father visited the Kawasaki VIP Marque to attend the official signing session of the Kawasaki Racing Team. Josh was elated to meet Tom Sykes and Jonathan Rea who were pleased to autograph Josh’s brand new Tom Sykes race replica cap.

Jonathan Rea (Kawasaki Racing Team) took his first WorldSBK race win for Kawasaki at the first attempt in a close first 22-lap contest at Phillip Island. He then followed it up with second place in race 2, to take joint championship lead.

Brilliant Double 1-2 For Sykes & Baz

Tom Sykes and his Kawasaki Racing Team partner Loris Baz proved too strong for their opponents at Tom’s home round today, with Tom winning both 23-lap races and Baz second in each. David Salom (Kawasaki Racing Team SBK Evo) also won both Evo category races, by finishing overall tenth in each Donington race.
