From Kawasaki Racing Team Press Release: As witnessed recently in Qatar, the KRT SB Evo team and rider David Salom proved victorious in the Evo series, which was run as an integral part of the overall World Superbike category in 2014. How this tough feat was managed despite some bad luck before the season had fully got into its stride is testimony to the abilities of the Ninja ZX-10R, David and all the personnel involved.

Reigning FIM Superbike World Champion, Jonathan Rea has re-signed with Kawasaki’s official KRT effort to compete for two more years on the class-leading latest model Ninja ZX-10R.

Jonathan Rea and his Kawasaki Racing Team teammate, Tom Sykes stood on the podium twice in two days at Imola, with Rea second in both races and Sykes a close third in both races on their all-new Ninja ZX-10Rs. Jonathan now has a championship lead of 35 points while Tom is third, 32 points from overall second place.

Kawasaki Puccetti Racing teammates Kenan Sofuoglu and Randy Krummenacher performed strongly in the eventual six lap wet race to record third and fourth place finishes respectively. Randy still leads the championship, with Kenan second in the points after four rounds.

Kawasaki Racing Team (KRT) rider, Jonathan Rea took his fourth and fifth race victorys of the 2016 FIM Superbike World Championship campaign over the weekend at Assen. Teammate, Tom Sykes was in contention for the top spots when he fell in race one, but a strong return in the second race was rewarded with a second place finish.
