Kawasaki supported racer and ambassador Meghan Rutledge has beaten a field of world class riders to win the 2013 Eve Australian Women’s Supercross Championship at Phillip Island, Victoria yesterday.

Good starts and quick pace weren’t enough for Monster Energy Kawasaki’s Jay Marmont at the 4th & 5th rounds of the Australian Supercross Championship at Phillip Island, Victoria, with unlucky moments costing him a podium finish in both rounds. Kawasaki rider Brett Metcalfe raced to 3rd place in Saturday’s round 4.

Tom Sykes (Kawasaki Racing Team) took his first Superbike World Championship title today as the first Kawasaki rider to take the top prize in production-based racing since Scott Russell in 1993.

It’s long overdue by over a decade but it’s now official. Australian road racers will once again have an affordable and mainstream entry level ADR complied class of road racing in 2014 with the introduction of the single make FX 300 Ninja Cup.

Tom Sykes (Kawasaki Racing Team) will be joined by his regular team-mate Loris Baz for the finale of the 2013 season, with Tom entering the Jerez weekend with a substantial 37-point championship lead.

After showing good pace and form during practice at the 3rd round of the 2013 Terex Australian Supercross Championship at Mt Gambier, SA, Monster Energy Kawasaki rider Jay Marmont had to settle for an 8th place finish after crashing on the slick track that took many riders down. Team mate Adam Monea is still sidelined with a shoulder injury.
