Up against some of the fastest 600 Super Stock riders in the country, the rookie Luke Burgess got his weekend of racing off to a brilliant start by qualifying on the front row of the grid. From there, he never looked back taking all 3 race wins for the round.
A happy Luke Burgess says, "It's great to win. I was up against the current ASBK 600cc Super Stock points leader so to come away with the win means so much. My Kawasaki Ninja ZX-6R was awesome and it performed perfectly."
Burgess and the rest of the Mackay Kawasaki Race Team are now preparing to travel to Darwin for round 3 of the ASBK.
