Kawasaki’s Vaughan Farmilo is looking forward to competing in the 24 Hour Reliability Trial in SA this weekend on board his Kawasaki KLX450R.

Vaughan Farmilo is very familiar with Kawasaki machinery in his position as SA/NT Sales Manager for the brand. Farmilo is also familiar with the grueling 24 Hour Reliability Trial, celebrating its 80th anniversary in 2012, having competed in the event for the last 4 years.

The 24 Hour Reliability Trial consists of 4 x 250km laps which takes 24 hours to complete. Each lap has 12 competitive sections which are timed to the second with a winner being determined on scoring. The ultimate test of man and machine, the Kawasaki KLX450R won the event outright in 2007.

Vaughan Farmilo say’s, “It’s going to be a long and hard and wet trial and very challenging for all. My first goal is to finish the event. The Kawasaki KLX450R is certainly up to the task, whether I am or not is yet to be seen.”

Kawasaki’s Vaughan Farmilo will be taking off at his allotted time of 12:04pm on Saturday 14 July. If all goes to plan he will be finishing at 12:04pm on Sunday.
