Monster Energy Kawasaki is looking forward to the return of its marquee riders as the 2012 Monster Energy MX Nationals heads to Horsham, Victoria for the 7th round this weekend.

Jay Marmont is fit and ready to do battle at Horsham this weekend alongside in form MX2 rider Kade Mosig. Billy Mackenzie will be joining the team the following round.

In a real blow to his 2012 championship aspirations, Marmont was forced to sit out round six due to post surgery complications. Although pressure has never be an issue with Marmont, the current Australian MX and SX champion heads to Horsham with no real pressure, a fit and healthy body and a strong desire to win as many motos as possible throughout the last four rounds of the championship.

Jay Marmont say’s, “It was hard having to sit out the last round. I felt I let go of the championship and the thought of losing the number 1 plate is a hard one to swallow. I’m looking forward to racing at Horsham though. I feel really good and I just want to get out there and race back up the front and bag as many wins as I can and finish the series on a high note”.

MX2 rider Kade Mosig will also be a rider to watch this weekend at Horsham. With a new and experienced mechanic in Andy Pringle, fresh from active duty at World MX GPs for the last 8 years, proving to be a real advantage for Mosig at the last round, he is a rider finding real form albeit late in the season.

It will not be until round eight at Appin when Monster Energy Kawasaki will have its complete roster of riders back on deck. MX1 rider Billy Mackenzie will make his much anticipated return to racing following a hand injury sustained earlier in the season. Mackenzie will be looking to grab as many race wins as he can during the last two rounds.

Jay Marmont spent time on the new KX450F this week and he was mightily impressed. His impressions of the new bike can be viewed HERE

With a full complement of healthy riders going into the final few rounds, Monster Energy Kawasaki is focused on finishing the season as strongly as possible with a big collection of moto wins, starting at Horsham, Victoria this Sunday 15 July.
