Reigning FIM Superbike World Champion, Jonathan Rea has re-signed with Kawasaki’s official KRT effort to compete for two more years on the class-leading latest model Ninja ZX-10R.

A rain-affected round three of the 2016 Motul MX Nationals at Broadford threw up mixed results for National Pump Monster Energy Kawasaki Racing Team. Matt and Jake Moss continued to run near the front of the pack, while MX1 contender Kade Mosig crashed out and is awaiting the outcome from scans as to the extent of his injuries.

Kawasaki Puccetti Racing’s Kenan Sofuoglu took his second race win of the 2016 season with a start-to-finish domination of a shortened 11-lap race at the classic circuit of Imola - his team’s home round.

Jonathan Rea and his Kawasaki Racing Team teammate, Tom Sykes stood on the podium twice in two days at Imola, with Rea second in both races and Sykes a close third in both races on their all-new Ninja ZX-10Rs. Jonathan now has a championship lead of 35 points while Tom is third, 32 points from overall second place.

As the 2016 MX Nationals rolls into Broadford, Victoria, on Sunday, the National Pump Monster Energy Kawasaki Racing Team is primed and ready to do battle with their factory KX450F and KX250F motorcycles.

Mitch Brierley of the Kawasaki KX Junior Squad has comfortably tucked himself into second place on the 2016 AORC J3 championship leaderboard following a stellar performance on his Bikebiz KX250F over the Anzac weekend.
