Penrite Racing Empire Kawasaki Team Shows Determination in Canberra ProMX

The Penrite Racing Empire Kawasaki Team demonstrated fighting spirit during Round 6 of the 2025 Penrite ProMX Championship in Canberra, ACT. What started as a promising day on a fast, hard-pack track turned into a true test of adaptability as afternoon thunderstorms transformed the circuit into a muddy challenge. Despite the unpredictable conditions, the team showed flashes of brilliance and a never-give-up attitude across both MX1 and MX2 classes.

MX1 Class – Clout’s Speed Shines Through Adversity

Luke Clout once again showcased his trademark speed and competitive edge in Canberra. After qualifying 6th and securing 5th in SuperPole, Clout was poised for a strong showing. A crash on the opening lap of Moto 1 could have ended his charge early, but Clout remounted and delivered a spirited ride through the field to finish 8th—an impressive recovery that highlighted his determination.

Moto 2 brought even tougher conditions, and while Clout was running inside the top ten, an unfortunate collision forced him to withdraw. Thankfully, he was cleared of injury and remains focused on the final rounds, currently sitting 8th in the MX1 Championship standings.

Today was tough, no doubt, but we’re not backing down. The effort is there, and we’re ready to turn it into results. I’m staying positive and focused on finishing the season strong,” said Clout.

MX2 Class – Budd’s Bounce-Back Performance Offers Encouragement

Rhys Budd brought renewed energy to the MX2 class, showing he’s ready to challenge at the front. After qualifying 6th, Budd was in the mix for podium contention early in Moto 1 before a crash set him back. Undeterred, he pushed hard to finish 18th.

Moto 2 saw Budd bounce back with a confident and assertive ride to 6th place, earning 11th Overall for the round and proving his pace is on the rise.

I’m taking the positives from this weekend. We showed we have the speed, and Moto 2 was a step in the right direction. I’m excited to build on this and finish the season strong,” Budd commented

The ProMX Championship heads to Queensland for the final three rounds. Toowoomba's Echo Valley will host Rd 7 on July 27th , 2025.
