Penrite Racing Empire Kawasaki Podium in MXW at Toowoomba ProMX (Rd 7)

The Penrite Racing Empire Kawasaki Team returned to top form at Round 7 of the 2025 ProMX Championship in Toowoomba, QLD. MXW rider Taylah McCutcheon secured a podium finish with 3rd Overall, while MX1 competitor Luke Clout led multiple laps in a fierce battle at the Echo Valley circuit.
Despite heavy rain soaking the venue on Saturday, the track transformed by Sunday into a well-prepared, technical layout that rewarded aggressive and consistent riding.

MXW Class: McCutcheon Fights Through Adversity

Taylah McCutcheon showcased true grit in the challenging conditions, earning 3rd Overall in the MXW Class. After a tough Moto 1—marked by several crashes and off-track excursions—she battled back to finish 5th. In Moto 2, McCutcheon delivered a composed and determined ride to claim 3rd, securing a crucial podium that keeps her championship hopes alive.

“I was a little frustrated today with my mistakes in the mud, but overall Moto 2 was far better and we improved every time I hit the track. 3rd Overall is good for the Championship and I’m excited to get to QMP this weekend for the Final Round,” said McCutcheon.

MX1 Class: Clout Returns to Form

Luke Clout made a strong late-season statement in the MX1 Class, qualifying 3rd and finishing 6th in SuperPole. He followed up with two impressive moto performances: a 3rd place finish in Moto 1 and a commanding lead for much of Moto 2 before settling for 4th. His efforts earned him 4th Overall for the round.

“Today was solid and it felt great to be back where I belong and in the battle up front. I was able to lead many laps in Moto 2 and overall I’m happy with my riding. Let’s tidy up a few things and be ready for QMP,” Clout commented.

MX2 Class: Budd Stays Consistent

Rhys Budd continued his steady run in the MX2 Class, qualifying 4th and remaining competitive throughout both motos. Strong starts and early race pace helped him secure 7th in Moto 1 and 9th in Moto 2, resulting in 7th Overall for the day.

The ProMX Championship heads to Queensland Moto Park (QMP) for the final rounds on August 2-3, 2025.
