The Penrite Racing Empire Kawaskai Team are ready to make one last push at Queensland Moto Park (QMP) for the Final Round of the 2025 ProMX Championship, taking place on Saturday 2nd and Sunday 3rd August. With MXW Class challenger Taylah McCutcheon still within Championship range at the finale and MX1 Star Luke Clout finding late season form, it is all to play for as the gates drop at QMP.
Taylah McCutcheon comes into QMP fresh off the MXW Class podium at Toowomba, where a resilient ride in challenging conditions saw her finish in 3rd Overall for the Round, keeping her within a mathematical chance of the MXW Championship heading into QMP.
Currently sitting 2nd in Championship points, McCutcheon is excited for racing to get underway at QMP.
“I love QMP and feel very comfortable at this venue. I’m focused on challenging for race wins this weekend and being in the fight from the opening laps.”
“The Championship is a long shot, but I plan to put myself in good positions and be the best I can be to finish the season”.
In the MX1 Class, Luke Clout feels rejuvenated after a stand out performance at Toowoomba, where leading multiple laps and challenging for race wins has bolstered the confidence heading into the Final Round.
“It felt great to lead laps again and find the intensity to challenge for the win at Toowoomba”.
“I was unlucky with my vision issues late in Moto 2, but we landed on the podium last year at QMP and I intend to do the same this weekend to finish the season strong”
In the MX2 Class, Rhys Budd looks to continue building on his trademark good starts and opening laps speed, where the goal is to convert early track position into higher placed finishes at the chequered flag.
