Cannon Claim Podiums at Redcliffe AUSX Double Header

The 2025 AUSX Championship kicked off at Kayo Stadium in Redcliffe, QLD, hosting back-to-back rounds and Jake Cannon, debuting with the GO24 Team Green Kawasaki Australia squad, stood on the SX2 podium at Round 2 with 3rd Overall.

Jake Cannon returned to Australian racing after his MXGP EMX campaign and debuted with GO24 Team Green Kawasaki in the SX2 Class under Brett Metcalfe’s guidance.

Despite minimal Supercross preparation, Cannon showed elite racecraft, leading laps in Round 1 and delivering 6th and 3rd place finishes at Round 2, which secured his first-ever AUSX Overall podium.

“I’m speechless right now,” Cannon said.

“This was a last-minute decision to race AUSX, and I’m so thankful to Metty, Kawasaki, and the whole GO24 team. To deliver a podium for everyone involved is amazing.”

The AUSX heads to Sydney for Round 3.
