Ferris Flashes Front-Running Speed Before Heartbreak DNF at Gillman ProMX Round

There was no shortage of speed from Penrite Racing Empire Kawasaki’s Dean Ferris at round three of the 2026 Penrite ProMX Championship in Gillman, with the four-time MX1 champion leading a large portion of the opening moto aboard his KX450 before an unfortunate DNF ended his chances of a strong result. Ferris was again in the fight at the front in race two, however, an early error saw him charge back through the field to finish P6.

Teammate Brad West also showed promising speed throughout the South Australian round, running competitively inside the MX1 field at various stages of the day. Unfortunately, a DNF in moto one proved costly for the Queenslander, ultimately restricting him to P17 overall despite showing encouraging signs of progression aboard the KX450.
