The 2026 Australian Enduro Championship headed to Casterton, Victoria, for rounds seven and eight of the season, with Team Green riders facing a challenging weekend that featured the first Cross Country format of the year on Saturday. Wet weather and demanding conditions added another layer of difficulty to the long-distance race, before riders returned for Sunday's Sprint format competition.
Empire Kawasaki Off-Road Team rider Kai Austin experienced a tough opening day in the EJ category, however the young New South Welshman responded strongly on Sunday aboard his KX250 to secure P2 in class. Austin remains firmly in the title fight and currently sits P3 in the EJ standings with four rounds remaining.
In the J4 category, Empire Kawasaki Off-Road Team’s Nate Munro continued his consistent season with another pair of podium finishes, recording P3 results on both days on his KX250. Fellow Kawasaki rider Asher Murphy battled through the challenging conditions to finish P7 on Saturday, before improving to P4 on Sunday. Following eight rounds of racing, Munro remains P2 in the championship standings, while Murphy sits P3 overall.
Team Green-supported rider Mason Phillips continued his convincing EJ campaign at Casterton, placing his KX250 on the podium with P3 on Saturday before backing it up with P4 on Sunday. Those consistent results see Phillips maintain P4 in the standings heading into the final four rounds of the year.
For Koby Munro, the weekend ended with an impressive recovery after a challenging Saturday, with the Team Green-supported KX85 rider rebounding to finish P5 in J2 on Sunday. The result keeps Munro well within championship contention, currently holding P3 overall.
The Australian Enduro Championship now enters a short break before Team Green riders return to action at Kempsey, New South Wales, on August 8-9, where rounds nine and 10 of the 2026 season will continue a number of championship battles across the classes.
